Sr Staff Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Sr Staff Accountant to support core accounting and tax activities for an organization based in Rockledge, Florida. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who can manage day-to-day financial records, maintain accuracy across the general ledger, and contribute to timely tax-related reporting. The role offers the opportunity to work across essential accounting functions while helping ensure compliance and consistency in financial operations.Responsibilities:• Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.• Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies to support reliable reporting.• Assist with corporate tax activities, including the preparation of supporting schedules and related documentation.• Handle sales tax processes by reviewing transactions, calculating obligations, and helping ensure timely filings.• Contribute to the preparation of corporate tax returns by organizing financial data and verifying completeness.• Support month-end and periodic close activities to keep accounting deliverables on schedule.• Maintain organized accounting records and documentation to support audits, reviews, and internal controls.
