The role

My client, a successful FinTech based in Chicago are keen to hire an experienced Atlassian Engineer to join their team.

This role requires you to be in the office 3 days a week

Responsibilities

• Administration of the Atlassian stack (Jira and Confluence)
• Migration of service from Datacenter through to the Cloud
• Service Management including optimising JSM Service Desks, CMDB, HR Workflows and identifying efficiencies
• Integrations with other products and business systems (Slack, HR, Identity etc.)
• Platform Observability and Monitoring
• Driving automation and self-service
• Embracing AI for enablement of the Platform
• Platform roadmap and strategies
• Working with senior stakeholders and gathering requirements
• Partnering with 3rd party organisations where required

Experience Required

• Experience working within a Software Engineering function with experience working on the development / integration of Atlassian products
• Strong Python development skills
• Experience working with AI and MCP solutions for accelerated development and enablement
• Excellent experience working with Jira, Jira Service Management and Confluence
• Jira development experience including custom workflows, and advanced scripting, in an Agile environment
• Experience around migrating on-prem / Datacenter instances of Atlassian products to the cloud highly advantageous
• Knowledgeable in building HR and enterprise service workflows in Jira Service Management
• Designing and managing Jira assets (CMDB)
• Strong experience in 3rd party integrations
• Comfortable with Git environments
• Relevant degree highly desirable
